Pheko receives U19 cricket call-up

Pheko Moletsane from Saint Andrew’s received a call-up to the South African U19 cricket team, which is currently involved in a seven-match one-day international series against Pakistan. He arrived in Durban on 28 June, where he hooked up with the team, which is playing the series in both Pietermaritzburg and the east coast city. The side includes Gerald Coetzee, who matriculated at Saint Andrew’s in 2018 and was a member of the SA U19 team that finished fifth in the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup, where he was named in the Team of the Tournament.

Eunice girls excel in hockey

The U16 Schools Hockey Inter-provincial Tournament took place from 24 – 29 of June in Pietermaritzburg. Three Eunice players, Clarise Solomon, Lienke Lombard and Kayla Swart, were selected for the SA U16 Hockey Squad. Kayla was also announced the best defender at the tournament. These Eunice players played for the Southern Free State U16 team that won a silver medal at the tournament.
