SAPS lead clean-up at Loch Logan to remove debris and hazards

The South African Police Service (SAPS), along with the Mangaung Metro Fire Department, search and rescue teams, and other stakeholders, conducted a clean-up at Loch Logan, situated between the Loch Logan Waterfront and Kingspark Rose Gardens.

According to police spokesperson Peter Kareli, the initiative aimed to remove debris from the water and prevent related issues, including stolen goods, litter, and even bodies being discovered in the lake.

“Our diving unit, working with the Mangaung Metro Fire Department, is retrieving objects thrown into the water or brought in by floodwaters,” Kareli said. “This is a vital initiative by SAPS and other departments in the Mangaung Metro.”
