The South African Police Service has an exhibition as usual at the Bloem Show that starts tomorrow and the Bloemfontein Showgrounds.
Community members of the greater Mangaung are invited to come and find out how do the men and women in blue serve and protect them with pride. This year`s exhibition will focus on community involvement in fighting crime in partnership with the police. Crime hints will be given out on how you can assist our country in being crime free and safest one. Community members will also learn about different units and careers within the police.
The police is also geared to address and prevent crime for duration of the show. Visible policing members will be deployed in the inner and outside perimeters to conduct crime prevention. Annually incidents of theft, robberies of cellphones and laptops, theft of handbags and clothing at the stalls are prevalent.
Therefore, the patrons who will be attending the show are advised to report all criminal activities at the police contact point that will designated at the show. The police appeals to the public to be alert at all times, keep a watchful eye over their handbags, cellphones and wallets. Ensure that your vehicle’s doors and windows are properly locked. Children that get missing are also a tendency at the show. Make sure that your children stay with you all the time.
