SANDF condemns circulation of misleading videos

The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) has condemned the circulation of videos on social media platforms that “show misleading content about the SANDF”.

In a statement, the SANDF noted that the videos are aimed at portraying the national defence force as a disorganised and ill-disciplined force.

“The videos are further meant to demoralise our dedicated military professionals. It is clear that those who are sending these videos are on a propaganda drive, and clearly targeting the South African population and members of the SANDF to doubt their Defence Force,” the statement reads.

The SANDF highlighted that it remains committed to the highest level mandate of professionalism and integrity as it made a call to the public to not fall into the trap by believing what is shared on social media.

“We will not allow our soldier’s spirit and morale to be affected by such malicious acts by those behind the propaganda. The SANDF stands united and will continue to serve our country with honour and unwavering commitment.”
