This morning Sand du Plessis High School in Bloemfontein was a buzzing entrepreneurs hub with learners from various schools in the Free State coming together and displaying their different products at their stalls.
Bloemfontein Courant joined the festivities and found that the Toyota Cheetahs Mascot, a mime and singers were present to entertain the learners, who came from different schools to enjoy the mood and buy some of the creative goods sold by learners.
A learner from Fichardt Park High School, Karla Marais, told Courant that her stall was named “Put the sparkle in your hair” and that she was selling scrunchies. She explained that she brought over a 1000 scrunchies to the Entrepreneurs Day. She said the reason why she decided to sell these is because she makes them in her spare time.
Another learner, who didn’t want to be named, said he decided to bring along chicken feet and braai it on the day because he believes in keeping everything local.
The day was filled with innovative and exciting new ideas on how to make money by selling homemade goods.
