SA records 856 new cases, with 76,037 vaccines administered so far

As of Tuesday, the total number of confirmed cases in South Africa is 1 514 815, with 856 new cases identified since the last report, Health Minister Zweli Mkhize announced.

The country has also recorded 194 new deaths: 8 in Eastern Cape, 29 in Free State, 43 in Gauteng, 80 in KwaZulu-Natal, 15 in Limpopo, 7 in Northern and 12 in Western Cape.

This brings the total number of deaths to 50,271.

The total number of recoveries is 1 433 320 and the total number of vaccines administered is 76,037.

“We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the healthcare workers who treated the deceased patients,” said Mkhize.
