The running club, Pentagon Pistols, hosts an annual event where all the proceeds are donated to an identified charity.

“This year we linked up with Child Welfare Bloemfontein, and we are looking forward to working with them in the future,” says Etienne Stone, a member of Pentagon Pistols. The 12,25-km race has an entry fee and the money paid for the entries is donated to the charities.

Pentagon Pistols has handed over a cheque of R10 000 to child welfare.

The club expressed their thanks to sponsors and participants who have donated funds towards this cause and want to continue with this initiative to better the lives of others.
