Rossouw heads to Bangalore

Bloemfontein – Chevrolet Knights’ top-order batsman, Rilee Rossouw, is heading off to join the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.

Rossouw has been asked to link up with the team as soon as possible as cover for Nick Maddison who broke his finger and Windies’ danger-man Chris Gayle who is struggling with his back.

Rossouw told Courant Sport he was excited at the opportunity.

Bangalore face the Kolkata Knight Riders this afternoon in the IPL, and take on the Rajasthan Royals on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Chennai Super Kings claimed their second win in this year’s IPL after beating the Rajasthan Royals by 7 runs in Dubai.

Chennai batted first in the UAE Economic hub posting a respectable 140 for 6 off their allotted 20 overs, with the West Indies’ Dwayne Smith top scoring with a blistering 50.

Smith smashed 6 fours and 3 sixes in his knock which lasted just 28 balls.

Ravinda Jadeja earned himself the Man of the Match award for his knock of 36 and four Rajasthan scalps while bowling.

Jadeja finished with figures of 33/4 as Rajasthan were bowled out for 133.
