The struggle of residents in smaller Free State towns to buy essential items will soon be over.
This comes after President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that level 4 of the lockdown will commence from Friday, 1 May. This level will see various industries open their doors.

OFM News received complaints from the residents in Clarence claiming that police officers are restricting them to travel to nearby towns to stock up on essential items. Residents claim that local shops have few options and the prices of essential items have inflated since the lockdown.

Provincial police spokesperson, Motantshi Makhele, told OFM News that residents can call their local police stations if they are experiencing problems regarding the movement to acquire essential items.
