South African Soul and R&B legends will step out of your radio and onto the stage right here in Bloemfontein this weekend. The Mangaung Soul Experience is back by popular demand, with your favourite old school DJs such as Bob Mabena, Glen Lewis and Wilson B. Nkosi among others, blasting the slow jams and dancefloor hits.

Mangaung Soul Experience will be hosted for the second year. This year it will take place at Loch Logan Waterfront on Saturday 14 September. In a world of “amapiano”, house and hip hop organiser Ntswaki Mohoalali, expressed that she is determined to give the Soul and R&B lovers an event of their own to enjoy.

“We are bringing the legends right here to Bloemfontein for our people to enjoy and experience what music lovers in other cities get to enjoy. It will be a relaxed environment where they can bring their friends and partners,” said Mohoalali.

Well-known local singer, Press, will headline the event and will be joined by Thebe. “We had our first event in 2018 and people loved it so much that we decided to host it again this year. It will be fantastic because we are going to go all out to bring them the best experience,” said Mohoalali.

The experience will be a two-night affair as it includes the Mangaung Comedy Experience on Friday 13 September. “Our MC for the night will be Shaun Dihoro and the line-up is made up of comedians from all over. The night will be perfect for a few laughs in great company,” she explained. Radio host and DJ Thando Thabethe are part of the event along with Tumi Stopnonsons, and Mashaba Galane.

“We really hope to share our love of good music with the people of the City of Roses once more,” expressed Mohoalali. Tickets are sold at Computicket at R150 for Mangaung Soul Experience and Mangaung Comedy Experience respectively. Music lovers can bring their cooler boxes for free until 14:00 on Saturday.
