Local gospel artists and groups are invited to showcase their talent in a one-of-a-kind competition where the lucky winners will walk away with a whopping R10 000 in cash as well as a range of musical instruments.
The Worship’s Got Talent, hosted by the Heidedal Cultural Market in association with Thabo Pitse, is aimed at uplifting local gospel talent and to provide local gospel artists with an opportunity to show/display their gifts and talent. This is according to Gerald Julies, one of the organisers of the show, who told Bloemfontein Courant that this is also an opportunity to minister and give recognition to local talent and artists.
“The competition is open for Bloemfontein Gospel Artist groups, duos, soloists, etc.,” said Julies.
To enter, artists can send a WhatsApp-video of them singing a verse and chorus of a gospel song together with their names and contact details to 073 226 7125.
According to Julies, artists of the best videos will be picked to perform at the finals on 30 November 2019 at the Heide Primary School hall at 19:00. “Participating artists must be available for a briefing session as well as final rehearsals in the weeks preceding the main event.
The backline, which will include keyboard, drum set, lead guitar as well as bass guitar, will be supplied at the main event and any additional instruments should be provided by the artists and should be communicated to the organisers. Artists may also use their own instruments,” Julies said.
Closing date for entries is Friday, 15 November 2019.
