Duane Petrus – The police in Qwa-Qwa are puzzled by the kiling of a lecturer whose father discovered his body in his home yesterday.
Free State police spokesperson, Mmako Mophiring, says Bafana Khoza’s body was found with a plastic bag wrapped around his head and he had been stabbed in the head as well.
The 38-year-old, who was a lecturer at the Boitjhorisong FET College, stayed alone.
Mophiring says the motive behind the killing is still unknown and none of Khoza’s possessions are missing.
His family members became frantic when they could not get hold of him on his cellphone.
His father discovered the body after he could not find him at the college where he worked either. Mophiring says they also don’t know when exactly he was murdered.
“The information that we will get during the investigation will reveal when he was killed. It might have been the night before, because people in his community say they last saw him the night before his body was discovered,” Mophiring says.
