The public participation on Mangaung’s Land Use By-Laws & Scheme has been cancelled until further notice.
According to the city manager, Sello More, the new time period for the public comments and dates for public hearings will be communicated accordingly.
Public participation was supposed to take place on the review and amendment of the following existing by-laws and the land use scheme — the Municipal Land Use Planning By-law, 2015 (as amended), the Student Accommodation By-law, 2021, and the Land Use Scheme, 2021 — however, the process will no longer continue as arranged, with the original deadline of 7 November 2025.
