Protest against Cabinet changes at Hoffman Square

Bloemfontein residents who wish to voice their disagreement with the recent Cabinet reshuffle will be taking part in the #NoConfidence Protest and Petition in Bloemfontein that will start at 11:30 at Hoffman Square. The DA has appealed to South Africans to work together, regardless of the political party they vote for and join marches across the country against Pres. Jacob Zuma and his Cabinet reshuffle.
The DA says its MarchForChange provides an opportunity for South Africans to unite and protect their hard-won democracy. DA leader, Mmusi Maimane, says the party will not be intimidated by violent threats against its members who will be taking part in the marches tomorrow.
The Economic Freedom Fighters in the Free State indicated that they will not partake in the march but their members can participate as citizens. The South African Communist Party (SACP) says they are not planning to march in the Central South Africa region tomorrow. SACP spokesperson, Alex Mashilo indicated that their main focus will be on the march to the National Treasury in Pretoria tomorrow from 09:00. – Christal-Lize Muller and Mark Steenbok
