A protest action has ensued in Mangaung, Bloemfontein, behind the local Home Affairs offices.

OFM News reports a group of approximately 100 disgruntled workers, allegedly working for a private construction company in Bloemfontein, have barricaded roads with stones and burning tyres.

It is alleged that workers have not been paid by the company in question.

OFM News earlier this week reported that the group had staged a protest, which was soon dispersed by the police and the road was cleared.

The group has once again taken to the streets this morning to express their frustrations.

One of the workers, who would like to remain anonymous for fear of victimisation, told OFM News they have not been paid for almost two months.

There is a high police visibility around the area, with the police re-directing traffic to Moshoeshoe Road.
