The Proteas will be targeting a third-straight win at the ICC T20 World Cup when they face Bangladesh in New York on Monday.
A win for the Proteas will almost assure them of a spot in the Super 8’s, but they are aware that there is quite a bit of work to be done.
On the weekend a fine 59 not out by David Miller led South Africa to a hard-fought four-wicket win against the Netherlands in the Big Apple.

The Proteas captain Aiden Markram said they will have to work for the win against the Tigers, because so far in the T20 World Cup scoring runs in New York has been difficult, and while the pitch is one issue, the slow outfield marks it very difficult to get value out of good shots.
The match in New York will be the Proteas third and last, and to secure a win and book a spot in the Super 8’s will be the cherry on the cake.
“Yeah, that would be fantastic – that’s sort of the first box that we want to tick,” Markram added.
“But again, you look at conditions, you look at a really strong Bangladesh team and it’s going to be a proper challenge for us.
“So naturally looking forward to it. We’ve luckily had the privilege of playing two games now on the surface and at this venue so hopefully It can give us even clearer plans and we can develop plans from a batting point of view how to get to a score of maybe about 140 if we do bat first and hopefully then our bowlers can do the rest.
Monday’s game between the Proteas and Tigers at the Nassau County Stadium in New York gets underway at 16:30.
