KWIKSPAR/TOPS Gardenia Park opens its doors on 13 June 2019 when residents will have the convenience of good food, fresh fruit and vegetables, beloved brands and much more at their doorstep. The store will open at the brand new Gardenia Square with opening specials to warm up the winter days of the whole family.
KWIKSPAR/TOPS Gardenia Park is very much a family oriented business as brothers-in-law Costa Bunyaz and Ikie Augousti were inspired by the community to open a store in the area. “There has not been a shop like this in the area. We wanted to offer the people in the area a decent variety of offerings. Gardenia Park has many community points like churches and schools in Bloemfontein over here. We want to be part of the community and contribute to it,” expressed Bunyaz.
Although, KWIKSPARs are usually small, the store in Gardenia Park will function like a standard SPAR with all the bells and whistles like normal pricing, wide ranges of food and brand choice and a TOPS outlet. “People can expect to find products here with value for their money, fresh products and friendliness. They really will get all that they could want here like a butchery, fruit and vegetable departments, a deli and more,” said SPAR Retail Operations Manager, Alex van Biljon.
The convenience store prioritises community involvement through projects. “We have already become involved with schools in the area such as sponsoring the drum majorettes at a nearby school. We will be talking more with schools and we will get involved directly with school and community projects,” said Bunyaz.
“SPAR as a group is family based. We really focus on family and that is part of our values. When our customers come in we want them to feel like they are part of the family,” Biljon added.
The official launch of KWIKSPAR/TOPS Gardenia Park will take place in August when residents can stand the chance of winning amazing prizes. “We are very excited to be in the area and to be part and parcel of this community. We will be the best offering that we can be and hope to build good relationships with them,” said Bunyaz.
