Prayer for a peaceful Easter weekend

The South African Police Services(SAPS), various churches and church leaders and other NGO’s from Botshabelo and Thaba Nchu recently held a prayer session for the upcoming Easter weekend at a church in Section C, in Botshabelo .

The community, church members and pastors came out in their numbers.

The purpose of the gathering was for the community to come together and ask for intervention from God, for a safe, accident free Easter weekend in the Mangaung Metro. They also prayed for the safety of police officers.

The theme of the gathering was ‘Let us all unite in prayers’ for the country to have a safe Easter weekend, a theme that seeks to set the tone for the community at large .

Pastor Ennest Moahloli told Voice that they hope the prayer will help. “We are gathering here to pray for a safe and accident free Easter. We invited pastors and church leaders because the gathering will not be effective if we, our police officers and the community are not working together,” he said.

Moahloli added that they are thankful to the Selosesha and Mangaung police clusters for their support . – Lebakeng Nkabi
