The power has been restored at the largest shopping mall in the Free State, the Loch Logan Waterfront in Bloemfontein, after almost two days of no electricity.

This was confirmed to Bloemfontein Courant by the shopping mall’s marketing manager, Meryl Henning.

Centlec spokesperson, Lele Mamatu, explained earlier today that the management of the Loch Logan Waterfront defaulted on their payment plan with electricity provider, Centlec, leaving shoppers and businesses in the dark.

Mamatu said the electricity was restored after some serious negotiations between the landlord and the electricity provider, which included a down payment.
