Parkweg police is seeking community assistance in tracking a vehicle believed to have been used in a kidnapping, after a case was opened on Sunday.

Police are looking for the occupants of a white Renault Sandero, with unknown registration number plates.

“The Renault Sandero was parked in President Brand Street near Bloemfontein Magistrate Court and left the area at about 01:40,” stated police spokesperson, Lt. Col. Thabo Covane. “Affiliates of E2 (Eyes and Ears) Project are also requested to help with the tracking of the identified motor vehicle.”

Liqhome Tshaka (19), a student at the Central University of Technology, was reported missing after her mother attempted to contact her, but was unable to reach her. “It is suspected that Liqhome is the female who was seen being carried to the motor vehicle,” added the spokesperson.
