Police need help tracing mentally ill man (26)

Police in Viljoenskroon are making an appeal to residents as they need assistance tracing 26-year-old Moses Mthethwa Galate, who was last seen Tuesday, 1 October 2019. He was last seen at home  by his little sister, Mmaki Galate, at about 11:00.

Police state that Emily Galate (51) was with both her children when she left home for work in the early hours of the said day and when she came back home she found her daughter watching TV. As she was preparing for supper, Emily asked her daughter about the whereabouts of Moses and she told her mother that she had last seen him in the morning going out.

Emily started to worry and began to look for her son at his grandmother’s place around Phahameng Section, Ramolutsi, and also at the residences of other relatives, but nobody knew where he was or might be.

Moses Mthethwa Galate is mentally challenged and on the day of his disappearance, he was wearing a blue cap, blue striped jersey, blue jean pants and black sneakers.
