Police in Kimberley, together with the community, are continuing the search for the missing toddler.
Five-year old Keitumetse Magwadibane went missing a week ago. She and a friend were walking to a local tuck shop on Thursday when she went missing. Earlier this week the city’s executive mayor, David Molusi, also joined the search party.
A local crime-fighting organisation, Wanya Tsotsi, joined and intensified the search for the toddler on Monday. Spokesman, Tebogo Obusitse, said 22 full time members of their organisation took to the streets of Kimberley townships.
He said yesterday another local organisation with 15 members joined them. Obusitse says they ended the search in the early hours this morning after they extended it to the open fields surrounding the informal settlements.
He said they are particularly targeting abandoned shacks and are in constant communication with the community for information that could help in their search.
