Police confiscate Mandrax pills and arrest suspect

The Kopanong Crime Prevention team has confiscated about 400 mandrax pills and arrested a 52-year-old man today.

Whilst busy with a normal patrol and stop and search duties Constable Tumelo Mokoena and Bonisile Fubu, led by Sergeant Kabelo Moholo stopped and searched the suspect and found him to be in possession of the mandrax and R350 in cash.

The trio immediately arrested the suspect and charged him for being in possession of mandrax to the estimated value of R20 000. He is expected to appear before the Bloemfontein Magistrate court soon.

The Acting Station Commander Captain James Molowa applauded the members for the good work and encouraged them to raise the bar against crime.
