Police arrest man in possession of dagga


Members of the Parkweg Police station in Bloemfontein arrested a 25-year old man who was in the possession of dagga weiging 3.129 kilograms. On Friday, 16 August 2019 members of the South African Police Service arrested the male in Walter Sisulu Road walking towards the N1 national road.

While patrolling members of the Visible Policing Parkweg Cluster spotted the suspect along the Walter Sisulu Road carrying a red travel bag which looked suspiciously stuffed and heavy. After stopping the suspect and asking for permission to search him, the officers discovered dried dagga neatly packaged in transparent plastic bags.

The suspect was then arrested by police for possession of sagga. The suspect who is from Phase 9 in Mangaung informed the police that he was hired to transport the drugs to Colesberg. He will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court on Monday 19 August 2019 and was detained at the Bainsvlei Police cells.
