Police appeal for help in finding missing teenager

The Free State police in Bloemfontein are appealing to the public for assistance in locating a missing teenage girl who was last seen on Sunday (12/10).

According to Free State police spokesperson, Lorraine Earle, the girl, identified as Oreratile Palesa Setouto, attended a church service with her mother at St Thomas Church in Sefatsa Street, Phahameng, but never returned home.

“According to the report, Oreratile was attending church with her mother, but the two were not seated together. After the service, her mother discovered that Oreratile had already left with an unknown African male she had reportedly been communicating with on Facebook during the service,” said Earle.

At the time of her disappearance, Oreratile was wearing a blue Kagisho High School tracksuit and white Puma sneakers.

Anyone with information that could assist in tracing her whereabouts is urged to contact Sergeant TMA Makhetha from the Mangaung FCS Unit on 083 814 1753, their nearest police station, or report anonymously via the Crime Stop number 08600 10111 or the MySAPS App.
