Planned water interruptions imposed

Vaal Central Water has announced a planned shutdown to conduct a mandatory dam safety inspection at the Brandkop Reservoir that takes place once every five years, as well as the installation of valves at the Uitkyk Reservoir in the Caledon River Region (CRR).

According to the entity, the shutdown is planned from today, 9 July until 12:00 on Thursday 11 July. It will affect the Mangaung Local Municipality.

“Water tankers will be kept on standby and made available as the need arises. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciation is extended for the patience and understanding of the affected customers,” said Vaal Central.
