The Mangaung Metro Municipality (MMM) has announced a 12-hour water supply interruption scheduled for tomorrow (29/10), from 06:00 to 18:00, due to Eskom’s planned maintenance at the Welbedacht Dam.
“During this period, water supply may be intermittently affected as the electricity supply to key water infrastructure will be interrupted for maintenance purposes,” the metro explained.
Areas expected to be affected include:
• Bloemfontein (Southern Side)
• Dewetsdorp
• Wepener
• Phahameng
• Phelindaba
• Rocklands
• Phases 2, 4, 5, 6 and associated areas
• Pellissier
• Universitas
• Fauna
• Uitsig
• Vista Park
• Langenhovenpark
• Hamilton Industrial Area
MMM has urged residents and businesses to use water sparingly during this period and to store sufficient water in advance for essential use.
