Centlec has announced planned power outage in parts of Bloemfontein on 4 and 11 December. This is due to repairs at the Harvard infrastructure.
The power utility says the shutdown is necessary for construction and/or maintenance upgrades on the network.
The electricity supply will be interrupted from 05:00 until 16:00 on 4 December and from 09:00 until 16:00 on 11 December.
The following areas will be affected:
Bloemdal, Ferreira, Lourier Park, Casino, Bloemdal Riool, Lengau Pao Test, Coca Cola Depo, Kenworth Spar, Bloemanda, Hillside View, parts of JB Mafora, Phahameng, parts of Rocklands, parts of Bochabela, Hamilton, Namibia Square, Kagisanong, Turflaagte, Chris Hani, Freedom Square, Bloemside, Ehrlichpark, parts of Vista Park, Kgotsong, Bloemanda Phase 2 and Turflaagte 2.
“The power may be restored without warning at any time during the shutdown period and all installations must therefore be treated as live and dangerous. Should your power not be interrupted within one hour of the scheduled starting time, please ignore this notice as the scheduled maintenance has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. You will then receive another notice in due course.”
