Petrol stations affected by load shedding

Thandi Xaba – Load shedding is not just leaving the nation in the dark, but has also left some motorists without fuel.

Due to Eskom’s implementation of phase three of load shedding, filling stations without generators run the risk of being unable to provide their customers with fuel.

A motorist driving through Welkom and Brandfort in the Free State while on holiday told OFM News the power outage prevented him from having his car re-fuelled.

Free State and Northern Cape Eskom spokesperson Adri Strydom says travellers need to plan their holiday travels in accordance to the load shedding schedules provided at filling and police stations and should remain patient on the roads.
