The annual Vodacom Fibre Rose Run, hosted by Pentagon Pistols Running Club, will be held in the Arena, Emoya Estate, on Saturday 14 March 2020. The race will be held over distances of 32 km, 10 km and 5 km, and will start at 06:00 (walkers start at 05:45 and 5 km at 06:15).
The Rose Run is known for its challenging route through the northern suburbs of Bloemfontein, which consist of sufficient up hills, and is expected to be good preparation for the upcoming Two Oceans Marathon held over the Easter Weekend.
Entries may be still be done at Preller Square on 12 March from 17:30 – 19:00 and 13 March from 17:00 – 19:00. Late entries can be done at Emoya on the day from 04:45 – 05:40.
“We will also be providing superior feeding stations, which will certainly help to lighten the load of the challenging route for participants. A unique feature of the Rose Run is the setup we create at the finish line. This year we shall once again invite all other road running clubs and their members to stay afterwards and enjoy the after-run activities. An area for clubs to set up their club gazebos will be demarcated in the arena,” said Ettiene Stone, Club Chairman of Pentagon Pistols.
Public should note that Frans Kleynhans Road will be closed between Emoya and Heuwelsig from 06:00 to 06:30.
