16 Februarie: Wykraadslid Dirk Kotze nooi jou uit na ‘n vergadering Donderdag om 18:00 om die skoonmaak van die Memorium-begraafplaas in Genl. De Wet te bespreek. Alle inwoners, gemeenskapsleiers, buurtverenigings, besighede en burgerregte-organisasies word genooi om saam te werk aan oplossings om die begraafplaas skoon te maak. Dit sal by Onze Rust NG Gemeente gehou word.

17 February: Oliewenhuis Art Museum is excited to announce their very informative talk by Dolly Molefe to be presented on Friday at 14:00. This thought-provoking talk, “The resocialisation of the angry black woman: putting an end to the self-perpetuated cycle of oppression” aims to include different viewpoints to the current exhibition, untold secrets, and never-ending stories: the embodiment of women in war. 18 February: Take your family and friends for an outing to the beautiful Bloemendal Estate for their second Bloemfontein spider walk on Saturday. You will be looking for spiders (also insects, reptiles, etc., but will only collect arachnids) and they will show beginners how and where to collect them. You will also be told more about the spiders you’ll find. There is a limited number of nets and vials, so if you have your own, bring it along. A light lunch – hotdogs and cool drinks – will be provided. Please RSVP at

18 Februarie: Die SAOU (Vrystaat) nooi alle opvoeders/ praktisyns wat fokus op kinders tussen die ouderdomme van 0 – 9 jaar na ’n spesiale SAOU Vrystaat Opleidingsgeleentheid. Dit sal by Martie du Plessis plaasvind.

18 February: Join Brandkop Parkrun for their Valentine’s Day event on Saturday from 07:00. You can walk, jog, run, or volunteer and bring your loved ones or paws with you. Remember your barcode and if you haven’t registered yet, you can get a registration form from Brandkop Parkrun’s Facebook page. It is free so you can print it out and bring it along. Wear something red or pink or both, the choice is yours.
