Pageant held for Botshabelo girls

Twenty-one-year old Palesa Monyaki is the founder and owner of the brand new Miss Botshabelo Free State pageant.

“Miss Botshabelo Free State is a pageant that is aimed at assisting young girls and empowering the youth of not only Botshabelo but the Free State at large,” says Palesa Monyaki, owner and founder of the pageant.

Girls between the ages of 17 and 26 who are from Botshabelo originally, even if they have changed location, are eligible to enter.

Monyaki accomplished her Certificate in Modelling as a runway, pageant, fitness, photographic and commercial model in 2015 at eModels, Bloemfontein. She is looking for a young girl determined to make a change in Botshabelo and in the Free State, a young lady who can raise her voice and promote ‘fashionable education’. “For those who have been in the business industry for a long time but have no exposure, this is their breakthrough. For those who dream to become a professional model, this is their first step.”

Prizes include a contribution to study tuition (if at tertiary institution), a chance of becoming the Brand Ambassador for Botshabelo, a garment/dress by MMCC Designs (Mpho Monyaki Classic Couture), gym membership for the whole year, a voucher for YourDream Driving School to accomplish a learner’s driving licence, a modelling contract with an agency and many more. The winners will walk away with gifts and vouchers worth R5 000.
“My aim is also to give big and small companies a chance of exposure as well of becoming part of this great motion and becoming a sponsor with great benefits,” she adds.

The youth of KRC (Kingdom Revealed Church) will be Monyaki’s support system throughout the pageant.
