The Performing Arts Centre of the Free State (Pacofs) will not be operating during the national lockdown.

CEO of Pacofs, Peter Pedlar, said that the organisation was resolutely committed to supporting all efforts made by government to combat the rapid spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19).

“The safety and wellbeing of our employees, artists, audiences and clients is of paramount importance to us. We welcome the announcement made by the President and strongly urge all South Africans to take the necessary precautions to ensure good health during this time of uncertainty.

We also encourage you to continue to check official government channels for regular updates and developments,” Pedlar explained.

He added that all emergency service staff, such as security personnel, will remain on site to ensure the protection of their facilities. “We sincerely appreciate the patience and understanding of all our stakeholders and eagerly look forward to opening our doors to the community again in the near future,” he concluded.
