The Performing Arts Centre of the Free State (Pacofs) has made a call to local creatives to submit proposals that will diversify and “decentralise the curated Artistic Programme for 2024/25”.
This should incorporate the inclusion of all artists “from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds; including artists living with disability, and who form part of the LGBTQ+ community,” reads a statement by the centre.
Furthermore, Pacofs encourages theatre practitioners and performing artists to submit proposals that cover Drama, Dance, Music, Comedy, Performing Arts Poetry, Multi-disciplinary, Children’s Theatre, and School-set Works. They should display possible strong audience engagement strategies.
Applications close on 6 November 2023. Forms can be downloaded and submitted with supporting documents to mandisa@pacofs.co.za
