The Our Father stays such a special prayer. What is it that makes our Father so different? Matthew 7:11 compares the two. God says if our human fathers (who aren’t perfect) know to give us gifts, how much more will our Father in heaven (who is perfect) give good things to those who keep on asking Him!
Sometimes we might feel that God is Almighty and therefore should know our needs. We think that it would be arrogant to ask God for things that may not be important.
Yet God says that He gives good things to those who keep on asking Him. Of course we cannot expect God to give us something that would harm us. Would we give our children something that could harm them? Of course not.
The bottom line is that we are allowed to ask God for even the small things in our lives. We must remember to have a daily conversation with our Father.
He loves to talk to us about all the things on our mind. God is not a Father waiting to criticize or beat us with a stick. He is loving and caring and wants what is best for you and me, His children.
Be blessed
