Oats and choc chip biscuits
For the next three weeks Chef Suné Niemand shares recipes for all types of holiday and Christmas cookies. The first batch of recipes is for cookies that will last well into the holidays, a delicate custard cookie, a rustic pecan and date biscuit and an old favourite, the oats choc chip biscuit.

|1kg||cake wheat flour|
- Cream the butter and sugar very well together. Add the eggs.
- Mix the cake flour, oats, choc chips and salt and add the butter mixture.
- Shape large biscuits and flatten with wet hands on a prepared baking tray.
- Bake at 180°C until crisp and brown.
