NW Police commissioner to officially receive sword of command


Acting National Commissioner of the South African Police Service (SAPS), Khomotso Phahlane, will officially hand over the Sword of Command to North West police Commissioner, Baile Motswenyane, this afternoon.

The handing over will be done together with medal parade in which medals for loyal, faithful and outstanding services rendered through the years will be awarded to members in the province.

MEC of Community Safety and Transport Management in North West, Mpho Motlhabane, is expected to deliver the main address during the ceremony that will also be attended by other senior government officials and senior managers from SAPS Head Office.

The ceremony is currently under way and will take place at the Ikageng Stadium in Potchefstroom.
