GALOOME SHOPANE The Numsa led strike which includes petrol attendants and component manufacturing workers could soon come to an end depending on what workers think of the latest offer on the table.
Regional secretary-general Andile Zitho says they will consult with their members internally to explain the latest offer from employers.
Zitho would not say was the latest offer was, but says the national union will only announce of whether the strike continues or settles on Sunday.
Zitho says “the strike is still on, we have not signed anything with employers.”
He adds that “there’s an improved offer on the table, that is the one that we are now taking to members its members who will make a final determination whether the offer is okay or not.”
The strike started three weeks ago with Numsa saying they will not settle for anything less than a double-digit wage increase.
