Free State Premier-elect, Sisi Ntombela, will officially take the reigns after she gets voted and sworn in the Provincial Legislature on April 2.
This, as Secretary General Ace Magashule is expected to vacate his premiership office by the end of next week.
Speaker of the Legislature, Mamiki Qabathe, announced during the provincial budget debate, yesterday, that they will hold a Special Sitting to officiate Ntombela into this position.
Opposition parties in the province have, however, expressed their disappointment with the premier-elect.
Roy Jankielsohn‚ DA leader in the legislature, told OFM News under her watch as Cogta MEC, three municipalities have collapsed and are currently under administration.
In total, municipalities in the province owe Eskom over R6.2 billion, which is the highest amount owed by municipalities throughout the country.
