No arrests made after shooting incident in Bfn

No arrests have been made after a shooting incident that took place at a store in Central Park in Bloemfontein yesterday evening.

According to police spokesperson, Mahlomola Kareli, two people died during the shooting and the owner of the store has been admitted to hospital. The incident took place at about 19:30. The Parkroad Police received a call regarding a shooting incident and on arrival, police found two people in a pool of blood and one with a wound in the leg.

“It is alleged that an unconfirmed number of armed suspects entered the shop demanding cash. The shop owner managed to grab one of the guns and shots were fired. The Hawker who was busy storing his goods in the shop as well as the son of the shop owner was killed during the incident.”

A manhunt has been launched and police are pleading to anyone with information to contact Parkweg Police Station on 051 507 6027 or police crime line on 08600 10111.
Kareli says that investigations into the matter continue.
