The Northern Cape Congress Of South African Trade Union (COSATU) made a decision to build and strengthen the party to make it stronger nationally.
According to the Secretary Anele Gxoyiya they want to ensure that they have functional strategy that will campaign for job creations. He was speaking at a media conference on Monday in Kimberley. Gxoyiya says after holding provincial meetings on Thursday and Friday last week they made decisions and discussed plans that they will be implemented from next month.
“COSATU is no falling apart and has never been weak. COSATU is a living organization and for a living organization to grow there should be sometimes contradictions. They don’t amount to the weaknesses, parallelisms and the death of the organization,” he says.
Gxoyiya says they discussed political and social economic issues. He says they will take gender equality seriously and women will be seen more in leadership levels. He says they are also reaffirming their commitment of supporting the ANC in the next up-coming national elections.
