N1 accident leaves 3 injured

An accident has left three injured on the N1 road near Winburg in the Free State today.

OFM News reports that the provincial Emergency Medical Services spokesperson, Sipho Towa, says the truck was delivering paper when it collided with a light delivery bakkie. He says the drivers were both transported to the 3 Mil Hospital to be treated for moderate injuries in Bloemfontein. Meanwhile, one passenger was transported to the Winburg Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Towa further says that the truck was driving in the direction of Bloemfontein when the accident occurred. He says the bakkie bumped into the truck from the rear. One lane was obstructed but is again open for traffic.
