There is great excitement and anticipation among the artists who will be taking the stage for Bloem in Concert at the Sand Du Plessis Theatre on 19 March at 19:00.

According to Gerduan Kemp, a local artist who will be performing on the night, he is looking forward to performing two of his original songs, as well as to some of the group performances. “I am excited for the fact that we will be performing at the Sand du Plessis Theatre again, as well as performing with such a big orchestra. I’ve not done that in a while,” he said.

One of the vocalist, Lize-Maré Markgraaff, said she is also looking forward to performing in the Theatre again. “The Sand du Plessis Theatre has always had this reputation of being one of the great stages in the country and I think performing on that stage again is definitely what stands out for me. Even from an audience perspective, sitting in that auditorium again and watching the show will be magical.”

Anton Esterhuyse, who arranged one of the song the artists will perform as a group, said that the group will perform one of his own compositions called Song of Resilience. “It is a song that I wrote last December and it was recorded with Cezanne Yzelle. It is a song about going against the odds and how challenges make us stronger. It’s about never giving up on your dreams, so I’m very excited to hear the artists perform the song.”

Tickets for Bloem in Concert cost R100 per person, or R80 per person for groups of more than five people. Tickets are available at the Pacofs ticket office.
