Boabab Entertainment will host the Homebrew Music Show, aimed at promoting local talent, at the André Huguenet Theatre on 23 April.

According to Boabab Entertaiment’s Dr Nathan Bagarette, the organisation received funding from the Free State Arts and Culture Council for the Show. “We applied for funding and we are now able to host four local groups of artists at the Theatre.”

The artists who will perform are Simple Stories (Afro Pop), Deda Matela (Reggae), Bongy Lahlo (gospel) and Afro-Defenders (R&B).

“The show is also aimed at showing the community how much these artists have grown over the years. They have travelled and performed extensively and we are proud to show off their talent,” he said.

“As we all get back into the groove of going out and filling up venues at shows and concerts, now is the ideal time to support local talent. The artists are well known to many and the support from the community is always appreciated,” added Bagarette.

The show starts at 18:00. Tickets cost R100 and are available at the Pacofs ticket office.
