What better way to celebrate the launch of motus.cars than to go on a road trip! Right? That’s exactly what we thought… so the planning of a three-week road trip, hosted by popular comedian Nic Goliath, began.
First things first when planning a road-trip – decide on your route. Nic decided to start the journey at the Motus Toyota Cape Gate dealership in Brackenfell, Western Cape, and ending at Motus Ford Germiston in Gauteng.
Next, decide what vehicle you will take. Nic couldn’t decide – so he opted to visit nine Motus dealerships – test driving various vehicles along the way during the road-trip from Cape Town, through Bloemfontein and onto Gauteng.
Of course, a road-trip is not complete unless you plan to visit some points of interest.
The first stop for Nic and his team upon their arrival in Bloemfontein is Jaguar / Land Rover Bloemfontein, where they will pick up their car before visiting Gallery on Leviseur.
This beautiful gallery has created a space to promote and represent contemporary SA artists. They offer pieces to collectors that are either unique or produced in limited editions.
Next will be a car swap at Lindsay Saker Bloemfontein, before heading off to soak in the splendour of The Free State National Botanical Garden.
This garden, on the outskirts of Bloemfontein, covers 70 hectares and spans a valley between picturesque dolerite koppies. The natural vegetation comprises tall grassland and woodland, dominated by magnificent wild olive and karee trees.
A real comic, Nic is certainly going to make the motus.cars road trip a journey not to be missed. South African car shoppers and comedy fans can follow his progress on Metro FM, weekdays @15h00-18h00 with DJ Naves & Sphectacula checking in on him with live crossings, as well as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube updates.
