Motheo TVET College celebrates the launch of its newly established Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) Centre of Excellence at the National Artisan Development Academy (NADA) campus in Bloemfontein.
According to the institution, the centre is a flagship initiative of the Education, Training and Development Practices Sector Education and Training Authority (ETDP SETA), which has supported the establishment of ten Centres of Excellence nationwide since 2020.
The principal, Professor Dipiloane Phutsisi, said the centre will open doors for many generations to come.
The launch was attended by the deputy minister of higher education and training, Buti Manamela, who said the establishment of the centre reflects the power of public-private partnerships.
“The 4IR programme must be treated with the same importance as all other academic offerings. This launch is not a destination, but a journey,” he said.
