More rain expected this week in Central SA

There is a 60% chance of scattered showers and thundershowers today.

OFM news reports that the South African Weather Services spokesperson in Bloemfontein, Michael Nethavhani, says this is good for farmers and the people in general.

He says more rain can be expected throughout the week in Central South Africa. Nethavhani further says significant rainfall was seen in Kuruman in the Northern Cape, Potchefstroom in North West, and Welkom in the Free State.

He adds that the weather will start clearing towards the weekend. No localised flooding has been reported. He concluded by saying the storms are moving slow, raining a long time in one area. Welkom, Taung, Bloemhof, and Kuruman can experience sporadic flooding in low-lying areas.
