More dagga dealers arrested by Bloemfontein k9 unit


The Parkweg K9 Unit is the worst nightmare to drug dealers especially those in the inner city of Bloemfontein. Yet another success in arresting drug dealers serves as a stern warning to drug dealers that Bloemfontein is not a fertile ground for them.

Acting on tip-off on Tuesday, 28 July 2015, members of Park Road K9 unit followed up information about suspicious looking men suspected to be involved in dealing with drugs at Heidedal, Mangaung.

On the 29 July 2015, upon arrival at the identified place in Mangaung location, the man was spotted sitting at the corner and the other suspect was in bed sleeping. When searched, the police found dagga in their possession covered with a newspaper and others in plastic packets of dagga.

The two suspects were immediately arrested and taken to Parkweg Police Station. The confiscated dagga are estimated at the street value of R10 000. Cash of R300 that was found in their possession, which was also confiscated.

The arrested suspects, aged 20 and 48 years, are expected to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 30 July 2015 on charges of dealing in dagga.

This is a second arrest of drug dealers within days, on Tuesday, 28 July 2015, other drug dealers were arrested in the inner city of Bloemfontein after they had been found with 5 small plastic containing cocaine drug and 30 small plastics containing variety of drugs worth R10 000. The suspects will appear in charges of dealing in drugs.
