The South African Weather Service (SAWS) warned that more cold weather is expected to hit the country over the weekend.
According to the SAWS, rainfall can be expected over most parts of the Free State today with a 60% chance of rain over the eastern parts of the province.
The SAWS also warned of cold snaps across many parts of the country with widespread showers expected over the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal until Sunday.
Light snowfall is expected in the Drakensberg regions of Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal from early Friday, which will continue until Saturday and possibly clear on Sunday.
