The Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality will this week host a training workshop to assist local SMMEs to apply for financial assistance through the Township and Rural Entrepreneurship Programme (TREP) on 16 November 2023.
According to MMM, TREP aims to assist informal micro and small enterprises to grow their businesses.
“The programme supports all small enterprises operating in townships and rural areas that meet the qualifying criteria.”
Businesses that can qualify for funding includes but is not limited to:
- Clothing and Textile
- Bakeries and Confectionaries
- Tshinyama and cooked food
- Automotive
- Personal Care
- Artisans
- Retail (restaurants, car washes, general dealers etc.)
Workshops will take place at Clive Solomon Hall in Heidedal at 10:00 – 13:00 and at the Botshabelo Digital Hub at 14:00 – 16:30.
